We produce excellent, therapy and service quality doodles on our 7 acre farm in middle Tennesee!
We brought our first goldendoodle, Jessie, home the year that my daughter was diagnosed with epilepsy and it was one of the best decisions my family has ever made! I had been working full time in Colorado as a firefighter but with my daughters need for constant supervision and better healthcare I left my job and we moved to TN to get the best care we could for her. Our beloved Goldendoodle, Jessie, was and is a constant loyal companion to my daughters every step of our journey.
We have fallen in love with this place and we are learning everyday as we build up our hobby farm tucked away in the hills of middle Tennessee. After doing lots of research we decided to start breeding Southdown Babydoll Sheep as well. Right now the kids enjoy caring for the lambs and showing them in 4H. We hope in the future the sheep will help maintain a small vineyard as self propelled lawn mowers.
Our heart in this is for companionship; to bring joy, laughter, and love to families. I have 5 sweet daughters. Two of whom I was privileged to adopt through the foster care system in Colorado. Every child needs consistency and sometimes a furry friend they can pour tears, secrets, laughter and love into. We have experienced first hand what an impact a wholehearted dog can have on families! This is our dream and why we strive for excellence in our puppies. To place a great and trustworthy dog with a wonderful family.
To be sure that our dogs are personable, friendly, and not easily stressed or fearful we have put years of work and research into our breeding program. Starting with excellent bloodlines and genetics. High quality puppy food (diamond brand) for our pregnant dogs so that her and her puppies have a great nutritional start. The puppies are all born in our home and loved on from day one. We do 'Early Neurological Stimulation' from day 3-16 with each puppy. Also known as Bio Sensor Training, which exposes puppies to minor stressors in a gentle and loving environment. Research has shown that this early exposure helps the dog throughout life to handle new situations without unreasonable fear.
Socialization starts at about 4 weeks old and is one of the most important steps in producing even tempered dogs. We begin by taking them on daily outings around the farm to meet our sheep, chickens, cats, and dogs. After their first set of vaccinations we take them individually on at least one trip to pet friendly shops around Nashville. It is so important that their new family continue this early socialization. We strongly recommend enrolling him/her into a puppy training school.
